Dear Friend,
If you were to die this very moment, do you know for certain that you would go to Heaven?
The Bible tells us that we can know that we are saved ( I John 5:13). Salvation is something we are
to be certain about ( II Timothy 1:12). You Should be certain about your eternal destination.
Almost two thousand years ago, Jesus left Heaven and came to Earth to die on the cross of Calvary, to
shed his precious blood as the only perfect and acceptable sacrifice for your sins and mine ( I Peter 2:24).
He died on the cross, was buried and on the third day he arose from the grave, alive forevermore.
We cannot work our way into Heaven. Romans 6:23 says that sin requires wages. Just as we
demand wages at the end of a work week for the work that we have done, in a like manner, God
demands wages at the end of our life for the sins we have committed throughout our life. These wages
are the “Second death” or eternal suffering in the lake of fire, or eternal Hell (Revelation 20:14). Jesus
paid these wages for us on the cross, but we have to accept him as our Savior. Salvation is the free gift
of God (Ephesians 2:8,9).
There are four things which we must do to go to Heaven:
1. Romans 3:10,23. You must admit that you are sinner. Would you admit that you, just like
me, are a Sinner?
2. Luke 13:5. We have to sincerely repent. Repent means to turn from everything in our lives
that we know is sin, and turn to God.
3. Romans 5:8, John 14:6. We must admit that Jesus is the Saviour, He died to pay for our
sins, and that He is the only way to Heaven.
4. John 1:12 , Revelation 3:20. Not only do we have to repent and believe, but we must also
sincerely receive Jesus as our Savior.
How do you do this? Romans 10:9, 10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” You have to confess Him with your mouth, sincerely, and the words have to originate in your heart.
Are you willing to admit that you are a sinner, and sincerely repent of your sins, believe that
Jesus is the Son of God, that He is the only way to Heaven, and be willing to ask Him to come
into your heart, forgive you of your sins and be your Saviour? (Acts 16:31).
You must willingly accept Christ as you Savior. God will not force you to do so and you must
be sincere. I cannot save you. Neither can your church or mine save you. The only thing that
I can do for you as a fellow human being, is to guide you through a simple prayer to God. The
prayer does not save you. God is the only one who can save you. As you are saying the words,
they have to be sincere and originate in you heart, otherwise they do not mean anything and
you are still condemned to an eternal, burning Hell.
Please pray the following prayer to God:
Dear God, I admit that I am a Sinner and that I am condemned to go to Hell, but right now I sincerely repent of my sins. I sincerely believe that Jesus died on the cross and paid for my sin, that He is the only way to Heaven. Right now I invite Jesus to come into my heart, to forgive my sins, and be my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.
Now that you have become a Christian, there are some things you need to do, not to be saved, but because you are saved. You need to be Baptized by immersion, unite with a Bible-Believing Church, read you Bible and pray daily and be a witness for Jesus.
